Social-Pragmatic Skills 1-2024
RSVP for this learning session to this email or to ssharma@weingartencc.org.
Children with hearing loss often require direct instruction to develop social-pragmatic skills. These skills are considered the “unspoken rules” of social interaction, such as knowing to speak differently based on the listener (baby, caregiver, peer), taking turns in conversation, and staying on topic. Social-pragmatics are considered the most abstract and complex of all the communication skills. Join us to learn the research on how hearing loss impacts these skills, how we support these skills in our programs, and what you can do to help your child communicate at home and in the community.
This is a live virtual learning session.
