Our 2022 Gala Benefit, Hear We Go! On November 5, 2022 was a great success! With the leadership and support of parents, staff, alumni, and community and business auction donors and sponsors, we raised nearly $200,000 to benefit our children and families.

The night was MC’d by Alumna, Samantha McBride. She shared heartfelt remarks which highlighted the impact Weingarten Children’s Center had on her life! It was a pleasure to have her family and friends in attendance and support. 

We had a fabulous lineup of speakers including: Alumnus Speaker Andre Edejer, Current Parent and lead for our Silent Auction Committee, Karsten Schindler, as well as Executive Director, Bill Doyle, and Board Member and Alumna Renee Schwall. We also had a special presentation of the Leahea Grammatico Original Teaching Team (LGOTT) Award to Karen Erickson by former Board Chair and founding parent, Don Potter. Karen taught at Weingarten for 40 years and retired last June! She remains in service to our families as our Alumni Director.  

The evening was filled with fun and funds-raising entertainment, including a raffle with fabulous alumni raffle sellers, heads or tails, a silent auction, and a live auction. We also had staff member, Matt McHan, as our DJ for a little music and dancing after the program!
