Join Us for WCC’s Parent Education Program! The March 28 topic will cover Raising an Advocate: Self-Advocacy and Hearing Loss. WCC staff member, Kelly Borkowicz, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, will facilitate this session.
Self-advocacy skills refer to your child’s ability to articulate their own needs and effectively get the help that they require. This is an important part of developing independence and communication skills for all children, but especially for children with hearing loss. Join us to find out how we address this in class and therapy, and what you can do at home! This session is intended for families of children with hearing loss ages 0 to 8.
Current families please RSVP to Shannon. For more information, please use the Get In Touch button on the website to express interest in attending!
