We’d like to answer your questions and help you unlock the benefits of these devices\, as studies show that remote microphone technology use can result in exposure to 5\,300 more words per day!  \nJoin us to learn about when and how to use remote microphones and DMs and the important role they play in your child’s listening and spoken language development and education. The March 28 topic will cover Raising an Advocate: Self-Advocacy and Hearing Loss.  WCC staff member\, Kelly Borkowicz\, M.Ed.\, CCC-SLP\, will facilitate this session. \nSelf-advocacy skills refer to your child’s ability to articulate their own needs and effectively get the help that they require. This is an important part of developing independence and communication skills for all children\, but especially for children with hearing loss. Join us to find out how we address this in class and therapy\, and what you can do at home!
