DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Lisa Marcacci\, Educational Audiologist  \nRemote microphones and DMs: Do you ever find yourself asking\, “Does my child really need this?” or thinking\, “My child can hear without the help of this microphone\,” or\, “I’m plenty loud when I speak\, and the house is pretty quiet.” Perhaps you haven’t taken the microphone out of its box yet or you find the manuals and technology to be confusing.  \nWhatever your level of familiarity with hearing assistive technology is\, our Educational Audiologist is here to help you to understand and use these accessories. We’d like to answer your questions and help you unlock the benefits of these devices\, as studies show that remote microphone technology use can result in exposure to 5\,300 more words per day!  \nJoin us to learn about when and how to use remote microphones and DMs and the important role they play in your child’s listening and spoken language development and education. This session is intended for families of children with hearing loss of any age.
